I mentioned in a previous post that I’d been divorced. Then I made this quip when explaining why I enjoy sugar babies and using SugarSugar.com more than wives: “They don’t take me to court and try to steal the money I’ve worked my life for.” After thinking about that comment, it occurred to me that my being a millionaire sugar daddy might seem like somewhat of a contradiction. Why would I get mad about a woman I married trying to take my money, when a woman I hardly know expects me to be just another one of her rich benefactors and to simply give her money?
After thinking about this contradiction – or seeming contradiction – I’m pretty sure I know the reasons it makes sense. The difference between a marriage and online sugar baby dating is that a relationship with a sugar baby is a mutually beneficial relationship that we’re both up front about. Marriage isn’t nearly as clear cut. She cooks and cleans, I do yard work? Well what if I hire a gardener… does she get a cook? I want to go to Vegas, she wants to go to some beach, but it’s no longer my money… it’s “our money” so we have to decide together.
In a mutually beneficial relationship, the expectations are much clearer, which leads to less drama. And as far as I’m concerned, I’m happy to pay for less drama in a relationship.
