I always think fondly of my SDs. These wonderful men have done plenty for me.
I have grown accustomed to never paying for a thing, dining at the finest restaurants, sipping champagne just because. I have been known to go wild at Neiman Marcus and jet off to a weekend get away last minute… first class only!
However, one of my favorite memories happens to be one which does not involve any of the things mentioned above.
I was working late for couple of nights and my SD at the time was asking me if I had been taking care of myself. The topic of food came up and I mentioned that the places that deliver to my job are not very tasty so I have been going without dinner. That same night there was a delicious assortment of sushi delivered to my job. The delivery came from the restaurant where SD and I had our first date. I emailed to thank him for the dinner to which he replied “I cannot have my girl going without good food. I have spoiled you this far and it is only fair to continue doing so.”
While this particular incident did not cost as much as a new pair of Choos it showed me the sweet and sensitive side of my SD. It just goes to show that a little gesture can go a long long way.
